Hospital oxygen supplies run out and ambulances have stopped working due to Saudi siege of Yemen

The Health Bureau in Jawf province announced that the only oxygen plant in the province at Al-Hazm General Hospital has stopped production and supplying to hospitals and health centers in the province, due to the depletion of oil reserves.

The director of the Health Bureau in Jawf explained to Al-Masirah TV that the suspension of the oxygen plant constitutes a real disaster in light of the spread of epidemics that require the availability of oxygen 24 hours a day.

He pointed out that stopping the oxygen plant means stopping intensive care, which will undoubtedly kill patients.

The director pointed out that the depletion of oil products had also led to the stopping of ambulances.

“We were surprised by the fact that the organisations that sing the praise of childhood and humanity and that used to provide unlimited support to these health facilities, have suddenly stopped supporting most of the projects after the liberation of the centre of the province [by Yemeni forces],” He added.

He called on the world to put pressure on the United Nations and the forces of aggression to ensure a steady flow of oil derivatives and to provide support and assistance to the Yemeni people in general, Jawf province in particular.

The director held the United Nations fully responsible for the continued siege and the ensuing shutdown of hospitals resulting from it.
