New fighting broke out on Tuesday between the UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC) ‘s militais  and Saudi-backed forces ( Hadi and Islah militants) in Lahj province, the northern entrance of Aden, southern Yemen.

This was confirmed by Yemen News Portal, based on Tribal sources.

Tribal sources said that violent clashes took place from the early hours in the directorate of Tor al-Bahah, the southwest entrance to Lahj province.

The two sides are exchanging shelling of various types of weapons.

The sources said that the clashes are currently confined between the Fourth Infantry Brigade loyal to Islah and the Ninth Brigade are thunderbolts which the STC has sent as reinforcements to the Tor al-Bahah district.

The fighting was taking place around “Iraf mountain”, where the Muslim Brotherhood militants were stationed, after the STC forces tried to take control of it across the main line of the Tor al-Bahah.

The STC’s militants pushed for major reinforcements from Yafea on Monday, in an attempt to stop the Muslim Brotherhood’s expansion in Lahj province by creating brigades and military positions to al-Anad.
