Taiz University vice president survives assassination attempt

Vice President of Taiz University for affairs of Al-Turba city branch Ahmed Al-Rabasi survived an assassination attempt on Monday when an armed group affiliated with Islah Party stormed his office trying to kill him.

An academic source at the university confirmed that the teaching staff at the College of Education in Al-Turba city were surprised that an armed man close to the leader in Islah Party Hamoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, named Nadim, stormed Al-Rabasi’s office along with a number of masked gunmen.

The areas under Islah’s control in Taiz witness wide spread of armed gangs that carry out murders and attacks on citizens’ property in the city.
