Mohammed al-Houthi reiterates that Yemen is always ready for peace

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a top member in Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, had affirmed that the National Salvation Government is ready to negotiate with the Saudi-led aggression forces, after the war is stopped and the blockade is lifted.

The Saudi coalition wants “dialogue for the sake of dialogue, while the aggression and siege continue,” said Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, in a tweet on Monday.

“[However,] here can be no dialogue, if the aggression and the siege continued,” al-Houthi added.

“Today, we tell them the gate of peace is open and the key to dialogue is in your hands. The equation is clear (…) Your siege and aggression, no matter how long it will last, is going to lose,” al-Houthi said.

In June, al-Houthi said the Sana’a government was ready to go to Saudi Arabia “to sign a comprehensive solution document presented by the Council, if Riyadh agrees to it,” adding that the National Salvation Government is ready to put all issues on the negotiating table “openly, without equivocation and in front of the media.”
