Thirteen former mercenaries, including two officers, defect back to Yemen

Thirteen former mercenaries in the employ of the Saudi-led invaders have defected and rejoined the ranks of the National Salvation Government of Yemen. This was reported by the National Centre for Returnees on Wednesday.

Amongst the returned soldiers, there are two officers: Colonel Taha Sarhan Al-Hattabi, deputy chief of the so-called Third Asifah Brigade, and Captain Ibrahim Al-Mansoub.

During a ceremony welcoming the soldiers back into the ranks of Yemen, the returnees expressed their gratitude for the continued general amnesty that applies to all Yemenis and other members of the Saudi-led invading coalition who repent and offer their services to the defence of Yemen. The troops called on their former colleagues in the invaders’ armies to join them in defecting to the National Salvation Government.
