Saudi airport at Abha hit in Yemeni retaliatory drone strike

The Yemeni Armed Forces have on Tuesday carried out a new drone attack on a military target at Abha International Airport in southwestern Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni army spokesman said in a statement.

Army spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e confirmed that a Qasef-2K drone was used in the attack.

The spokesman affirmed that the drone accurately hit the target at the airport, saying that “this targeting comes in response to the aggression’s aerial bombardment and its continued siege on Yemen.”

Yemen’s Air Force has stepped up the retaliatory attacks on Saudi Arabia in recent months, saying the strikes will continue as long as Riyadh carries on with its airstrikes and blockade of Yemen.

The last operation was carried out on Saturday targeting King Khalid Air Base, also using a Qasef-2K combat drone.
