Yemen sends message of condolences for Baghdad hospital fire

Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, has on Saturday sent a cable of condolences to Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein over the victims of the fire accident at Ibn al-Khatib Hospital in Baghdad.

An oxygen cylinder exploded at the hospital, killing 82 people and injuring more 110, many of them Covid-19 patients and their relatives.

In the telegram, Sharaf affirmed the solidarity of the Yemeni government and people with the brotherly Iraqi people in this ordeal, asking the Almighty God to bless the victims with the breadth of his mercy and grant the wounded a speedy recovery.
