A human rights organisation affiliated with the Islah Party has on Saturday revealed the number of airstrikes launched by Saudi-led coalition on Hadi loyalist forces, who are nominally their allies.
The revelations coincide with the second anniversary of the al-Alam massacre in Aden, which killed more than 300 fighters.
Tawfiq al-Hamidi, director of the Sam Organisation for Rights and Freedoms, said that they had monitored more than 63 airstrikes targeting the positions and gatherings of Islah Party factions in several provinces, noting that dozens of their finest fighters have been killed in the raids.
The organisation called for a transparent and thorough investigation into who was behind the raids, hinting that the culprit could be the UAE.
The Islah Party marked the second anniversary of the al-Alam massacre, in which the Emirati fighter jets bombed its forces near Aden.
At that time, the UAE had describe the Islah fighters as “terrorists”, despite officially being on the same side in the war.
