A pro-Saudi-led coalition military commander was killed on Saturday during confrontations with the Yemeni army and popular committees in Marib province. This was confirmed by Yemen Press Agency based on local sources.
According to the sources, the commander of coalition’s recruits in Rakhim and Wasil areas of al-Jubah front, Salim al-Massaabi was killed with along with tens of mercenary soldiers from the 173 Infantry Brigade belonging to Hadi government.
Moreover, The army forces were able to repel a new attack of coalition’s mercenaries in al-Jubah front, killing and injuring dozens of them, including military commanders, the sources said.
The sources declared that coalition’s forces and Islah militants inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment during an offensive carried out by the Yemeni army in the same front.
The fate of many commanders and officers of coalition is still unknown, one the sources added.
Furthermore, the Yemeni army and popular committees achieved a new military achievement when they cleared strategic areas in their battles with coalition’s forces in the same province.
The sources affirmed that the army’s troops were able to take over Najd al-Majmaa area in al-Jubah front.
The sources confirmed that the army and popular committees advanced towards center of Jubah district, inflicting heavy casualties on the coalition-backed mercenaries’ ranks.
