A Yemeni businessman was killed by unknown gunmen on late Monday in southwestern Taiz province, local sources said.
According to the sources, unidentified militants assassinated businessman Mahmoud Alzaokari , director of Shabco and owner of The Yemen Ko company on Al-Maror street after leaving his home.
He had survived assassination attempts in mid-April after being attacked by unidentified gunmen who intercepted his car as he was returning to his home on the same Street near the military police headquarters.
The security authorities in Taiz have not issued any statement on the murder of businessman Alzaokari .
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The city, which is under the control of coalition-backed government, has been plagued by insecurity for years, with repeated assassinations and executions on the streets.
