The office of the Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights in Taiz province has on Thursday confirmed that at least 4,576 civilians in the area have been killed and injured due to attacks by the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries since March 2015.
The Human Rights Ministry’s office elaborated, in a report issued on the occasion of the passage of 2,000 days of the aggression on Yemen, that 2,152 of these civilians were killed by the coalition and its mercenaries, including 474 children, 352 women, and 1,326 men.
The report revealed that the coalition and its mercenaries caused the injury of 2,424 civilians, including 424 children, 253 women, and 1,747 men.
The coalition destroyed 950 facilities in the infrastructure sector, 551 service facilities, and 3,893 economic facilities, while the number of the houses that have been destroyed and damaged due to the coalition attacks reached 95,790 houses, according to the report.
In the infrastructure sector, the coalition destroyed Taiz International Airport, two seaports, 239 government facilities, 34 power stations and generators, 90 telecommunications networks, 58 water tanks and water systems, 516 roads and bridges, and 10 cemeteries.
The destroyed service facilities in the province included 10 university buildings, 45 hospitals and health centers, 152 schools and institutes, 100 mosques, 14 sports facilities, 20 historical sites, six media facilities, and 204 agricultural fields.
The report mentioned that the destroyed and damaged economic facilities due to the coalition attacks in the province included 55 factories, 96 commercial markets, 2,167 commercial establishments, 33 tourist facilities, 450 food stores, 80 food trucks, 52 fuel stations, 41 fuel tankers, 780 transport vehicles, 46 poultry and livestock farms, and 93 fishing boats.
