At least three children and two women belonging to an Iraqi family were killed Monday when a rocket hit their house near Baghdad Airport where US soldiers are deployed, the Iraqi army said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but other attacks have already been claimed by unknown groups that said in their statements that they were targeting the “American occupier.”
Earlier, Baghdad police captain Ahmed Khalaf said that “a Katyusha rocket landed on a house near Baghdad International Airport .
“Security forces, civil defence teams and ambulances rushed to the scene to evacuate the victims,” Khalaf added.
