Mukalla city, the capital of Hadhramaut province, has on Monday witnessed a comprehensive act of civil disobedience, in response to a call launched by protesters in the city.
The protesters announced their continuing implementation of civil disobedience and protests in the city, which witnessed the closure of hundreds of shops, until the elimination of what they called “the system of corruption” and the proper provision of basic services to the people, especially electricity.
Mukalla has been witnessing angry popular protests for the second week in a row, in light of the continued deterioration of basic services in the city.
