Ten Nigerian soldiers killed in Boko Haram attack

At least ten Nigerian soldiers were killed after Boko Haram militants attacked a military vehicle in the northeast of Nigeria, local media reported.

The attack took place in the area of Marti in the state of Borno, in the north-east of the country, where the group targeted a military vehicle that was on a logistical supply task, army sources stated.

The attack resulted in 10 deaths as well as eight injuries, and the burning of a military vehicle.

Since 2009, takfiri terrorist organisation Boko Haram violence has killed more than 20,000 people, displaced millions in Nigeria and, since 2015, has launched attacks in neighboring countries such as Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
