A famous Omani poet was killed by unknown gunmen on Saturday morning in Mahrah province, eastern Yemen, local sources said.
According to the sources, unknown assailants fires on the poet Ahmed Bin Balah when he was driving his car in Sayhot district, killing him instantly.
The occupied southern Yemeni provinces have been witnessing security chaos and continued violations against citizens by Saudi occupation forces and their mercenaries.
As part of the chaos in the province, Saudi occupation forces have prevented the entry of foodstuffs after they deployed their military forces at Shihan port, bordering Oman.
The local protest committee chairman has said that the restrictions and blockade began to prevent the entry of four-wheel-drive vehicles, power generation materials, and communications systems through Shihan port.
“The list includes preventing the entry of basic foodstuffs, including grains, as well as diesel and petroleum products, within the framework of besieging the Yemeni people,” the chairman said.
