Yemeni drones strike Saudi airport mere hours after prior attack

The Yemeni army spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e has on Sunday evening announced that a second attack against Abha Airport in Saudi Arabia has taken place, within hours of a prior one.

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e confirmed that the air force had launched a new attack on Abha International Airport with a drone of the Sammad-3 type, targeting a sensitive target inside the airport.

This came hours after the targeting of King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushayt with two Qasef-2K type drones.

The spokesman confirmed that the drone attacks accurately hit the aircraft hangars at the base, saying that “this targeting comes in response to the enemy’s air escalation and its continued siege on the Yemeni people.”

On Saturday, the Yemeni Air Force had already targeted Jizan and Abha airports and Khamis Mushayt base with three drones of the Qasef-2K type.
