Activist released by southern Yemeni separatists after days of torture

The UAE-backed  Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias have released a political activist after days of imprisonment and torture in Aden.

Human rights sources said that activist Nazir Al-Radfani was arrested a week ago by a force from the Security Belt, and taken to an unknown destination.

The sources pointed out that the mercenaries arrested the activist Al-Radfani for broadcasting a video exposing drug trafficking operation in the city of Aden and the involvement of security leaders of the STC in the process.

The STC is routinely carrying out abuses against citizens and activists who reject the disastrous situation in Aden, including the detention and enforced disappearance of civilians.
