Israel has on Saturday revealed growing fears among Arab politicians about the victory of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
This comes on the eve of Biden’s continued lead in counted votes over President Donald Trump.
Saudi, Emirati, Egyptian and Bahraini officials expressed concerns about the influence of Biden’s advisers on the US position regarding the nuclear deal with Iran, according to the Israel Today newspaper.
Sources in these Arab states, which are allies of Western powers and the Zionist entity of Israel, said in remarks that a United States’ re-entry into the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was concluded during the Obama presidency, and the lifting of sanctions on Tehran would “strengthen Iran’s presence” and leave these regimes and Israel left out.
According to the paper, the regimes have threatened several steps, including the withdrawal of Sudan, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates from recent normalisation agreements with the Zionist entity if the US were to re-enter the nuclear deal with Iran.
