The Republic of Yemen had on Wednesday has appointed a new ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic.
President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat has issued a decree appointing a new ambassador of Yemen to Syria.
The decree was issued to appoint Abdullah Sabri as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Yemen to the Syrian Arab Republic.
Yemen and Syria have had close diplomatic relations for years. Since the September 21 Revolution of 2014, relations have been further strengthened, with Damascus officially recognising the National Salvation Government of Yemen.
