Yemeni naval attack on Saudi oil platform results in massive fire

A fire has broken out near an oil distribution platform in the Saudi-held province of Jizan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

The blaze was reportedly caused by an unprecedented Yemeni naval attack, with bomb-laden vessels attacking the Saudi petroleum platform in a new retaliation attack.

The Saudi source claimed that the fire was under control, and that no injuries were reported.

This is the second major retaliation carried out by the defenders of Yemen on Friday alone. Earlier on the day, a high-precision missile strike in the province of Ma’rib killed several high-ranking commanders of the Saudi invasion army and the military forces of the Hadi puppet government.

Local sources claim that the missile strike waged by the Yemeni army and Popular Committees on Tadawain camp even resulted in the death of Hadi’s Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ali al-Maqdashi. Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz was also amongst those reported killed in the strike.
