One person killed in bomb blast targeting Emirati occupation force

At least one person was killed on Saturday, when a bomb blast hit Emirati occupation troops in the southern Yemeni governorate of Shabwah.

An explosive device exploded near an Emirati military convoy heading to al-Alam camp in Maifa’ah district, local sources said, leaving one person dead.

The province of Shabwah, like the rest of the occupied governorates, is witnessing grave insecurity, chaos and lack of services as a result of the conflict between mercenary groups.

The conflict in the province is affecting Yemen’s largest gas export facility, particularly as the Saudi-backed Islah militias seek to gain this important economic resource, making up for their inevitable defeat in Ma’rib province due to the steady advance of Yemeni forces.

In the past few days, Shabwah has turned into an open battleground between the militias of the Islah Party and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias, against the backdrop of a conflict of control over the port and oil fields in the province.
