Several soldiers loyal to the Hadi government have been killed and wounded in an attack carried out by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Abyan province, southern Yemen. This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on local sources.
According to the sources, the STC militias attacked Hadi’s military reinforcements that were heading towards the coastal city of Shuqrah, coming from Shabwah province.
The attack, which took place in Al-Muhafed’s road, caused several deaths and injuries and destroying a vehicle.
This comes at a time of escalating hostilities between both sides in the fronts of Sheikh Salem and Al-Tariya.
