Head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, has praised the countries that have taken steps to stop selling weapons to the Saudi regime.
“We express our appreciation to the countries that have taken steps to stop selling weapons to the Saudi regime, which is killing the children of Yemen,” Abdulsalam said in a tweet.
نعبر عن تقديرنا للدول التي اتخذت خطوات لوقف بيع السلاح للنظام السعودي ( قاتل أطفال اليمن) وندعو باقي الدول إلى اتخاذ ذات الخطوة كأقل موقف إنساني في مواجهة هذه العدوانية المتوحشة التي هي خطر على الأمن والاستقرار الدوليين .

He called on other countries to take the same step in the face of this brutal aggression that poses a threat to international security and stability.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed in March 2018 to prevent arms sales from being delivered to any country directly involved in the war in Yemen. The Saudi regime received the decision as a surprise, and claimed that the Yemeni conflict should have no consequences on weapons trade with Riyadh.
