The UAE occupation forces have dismissed the commander of its forces on Yemen’s west coast, and appointed a new one, following the escalation of conflicts between UAE-backed military formations.
Military sources said that an Emirati military commander arrived from Abu Dhabi to take over command of the UAE forces in the western coast, in place of the former commander Brigadier General Saeed al-Mazroui.
The sources indicated that the handover took place at the coalition camp in the coastal city of Al-Mocha, west of Taiz province.
One of the tasks of the new UAE commander is to address the differences between the leaders of the military factions of the joint forces, the sources added.
