Yemeni diplomats meet with UN mission in Hodeidah

The Head of the National Team in the Redeployment Coordination Committee in Hodeidah governorate, Major General Ali Al-Mushki has discussed with the Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) and with the Chair of the Redeployment Coordination Committee Lieutenant General Abhijit Guha and his team, regarding a number of issues related to the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement.

At the meeting, the National Team presented a comprehensive report on the ongoing violations of the aggression forces and their mercenaries in the western coast and Hodeidah governorate, including the continuous bombing by warplanes and drones of the city of Hodeidah and the districts of Durayhimi, Al-Lahia, Hais and others, as well as the violations by using artillery and rockets in the city of Hodeidah.

The National Team stated that the violations result in the daily deaths and injuries of children and women and the destruction of citizens’ property.

The team also briefed the UN team about the stifling blockade imposed by the coalition forces on the port of Hodeida and the preventing the entry of oil derivatives and foodstuffs shipments, as well as the targeting of fishermen.

Al-Mushki affirmed the commitment of the National Team to cooperate with the UNMHA in implementing the Stockholm Agreement, noting that the first phase of redeployment in Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa ports was carried out unilaterally, to show confidence and willingness by the National Team.

He renewed the call for the other party to return to the dialogue table to implement the Agreement and the redeployment according to the UN-sponsored plan agreed upon by all parties.
