A detainee in a prison run by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias has committed suicide on Sunday, local sources said.
According to the sources, one of the detainees in the prison in Sheikh Othman sector committed suicide at 5 PM.
The sources pointed out that the suicide came in protest against the mercenary forces.
Other sources however said that the detainee was tortured to death.
Dozens of detainees have died under torture in the prisons of pro-UAE militias.
