Thirty soldiers defect from Saudi ranks and rejoin Yemeni forces

The National Center for Receiving Returnees on Tuesday has received 30 military personnel who defected from the Saudi-led coalition and returned to Sana’a, including high-ranking commanders.

Among the returnees received today are the commander of the 5th Battalion in the so-called 3rd Brigade Border Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Nasr Mohammed al-Ariqi, as well as the battalion’s staff officers and the battalion’s operations commander.

During the reception, the director of the Military Museum, Brigadier general Abed al-Thawr, confirmed that “the days of the occupiers and their agents are numbered, and they will be forced to leave due to the powerful strikes of the heroes of the army and Popular Committees.”

He explained that the occupiers and their tools have seduced some and turned them into human shields. The amnesty is an opportunity to be exploited by the rest of the mercenaries to rush back into the national ranks.

The defectors expressed their appreciation for the good treatment they have received from by their brothers in the army and the Popular Committees.
