A fishing boat with at least seven Yemeni fishermen on it has disappeared during a fishing trip off the coast of al-Khokha district, Hodeidah province in western Yemen.
Residents and community organisations in the district have launched a distress call to search for the seven fishermen who lost contact with land three days ago.
They said the seven fishermen had boarded a boat off the al-Khokha coast on December 19, but had not yet returned.
“They didn’t have enough food on their boat for a day,” the families of the missing fishermen said.
Locals have expressed their fear that the fishermen might have been arrested or killed by the coalition forces, which are known for harassing fishermen in Yemeni waters
