Forty-one soldiers defect from Saudi ranks and rejoin Yemeni forces

The National Center for Receiving Returnees on Wednesday has received 41 military personnel who defected from the Saudi-led coalition and returned to Sana’a, including high-ranking commanders.

Among the returnees, Islah Party leader Mohsen Ziyad and the commander of the second battalion of the so-called Al-Hazm Brigade Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sama’i.

The defectors expressed their appreciation for the good treatment they have received from by their brothers in the army and the Popular Committees.

The defectors also renewed the call to all those who are still in the coalition’s ranks to take advantage of the amnesty and to join the defenders of Yemen.

They confirmed their willingness to “move alongside the heroes of the army and Popular Committees who defend the homeland against invaders and their agents.”
