At least four Pakistan Army’s soldiers, including two pilots were killed in a helicopter crash in Minimarg, Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday, the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department said.
According to the Pakistani Military, the helicopter crashed due to technical reasons.
The helicopter was evacuating the body of martyred soldier Sepoy Abdul Qadeer to Combined Military Hospital in Skardu.
Meanwhile, Pakistani Foreign Affairs Minister Mahmud Qureshi said the upcoming round of talks between the United States and the Afghan Taliban for peace will begin on January 5th.
Qureshi said during a press conference after his meeting with the Taliban delegation led by Abdul Ghani Prader, last Wednesday, that the location has not yet been determined.
“There are no other ways to move forward other than a negotiated political settlement in order to make Afghanistan peaceful and stable,” he said.
The Taliban delegation is scheduled to meet with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan during their three-day visit to the capital Islamabad.
