Yemeni Minister of Defence, Major General Mohammad Nasser Al-Atifi, has affirmed that “the time for enemies to go too far in assaulting the homeland of civilisation and history is gone forever.”
“The invaders and occupiers must realise that that our people have only two options; victory and living with pride, dignity, freedom, sovereignty and independence; or martyrdom,” the Minister of Defence said in a statement to the media while laying a wreath of flowers and reading the Al-Fatiha prayer at the tomb of the martyred Yemeni President Saleh Al-Sammad and his companions.
Major General Al-Atifi explained that the Yemeni people have not and will not accept any invaders and occupiers.
“We promise to our martyrs that we will continue on the path that they have drawn with their pure blood.”
He pointed out that “martyrdom is pride, dignity, sacrifice, piety and a high honour for those in the fields and fronts of confrontation against our enemies.”
