At least five people were killed and nine others wounded in a car bomb explosion in Ras al-Ain city, in the countryside of Hasaka in Syria, the Syrian news agency SANA reported, citing medical sources on Saturday.
According to the sources, two children, two women and a man died as a result of a car bomb explosion in the vegetable market in Ras al-Ain city.
The sources added that three of the wounded people, including a child, are in critical condition.
A source in the Turkish-backed mercenary army fighting against the Syrian Arab Republic confirmed that a minibus exploded in the vegetable market in the city center.
On the other hand, a source in the city of Hasaka itself stated that a person who was wanted by Syrian security forces threw a grenade while being pursued by Syrian troops in a market in the city, wounding 19 people.
The city of Ras al-Ain and its countryside have witnessed the detonation of more than 15 car and motorcycle bombs, which have claimed dozens of deaths and injuries since the city was captured by a Turkish invasion in October 2019.
