Yemen’s Ministry of the Interior reviews most successful security operations of 2020

The Ministry of Interior in the National Salvation Government of Yemen has on Monday reviewed the most prominent security achievements during the year 2020.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Abdul Khaleq Al-Ajri, said during a press conference in Sana’a that the security services had arrested and thwarted 418 sabotage and terrorist operations that were planned and financed by Saudi-led aggression.

He indicated that 472 ISIS and Al-Qaeda militants were arrested , of which 138 in the Al-Bayda and Ibb governorates, while the security services dismantled 212 explosive devices that were about to be used for terrorist attacks.

Regarding criminal offenses, Ministry of Interior statistics showed that more than 58,000 different crimes were stopped or prevented.

The spokesman indicated that the complaints center received 6,117 cases, 5,777 of which were dealt with successfully, and were referred to the judiciary or the Inspector General and the competent authorities.

The Ministry of the Interior vowed to continue protecting the Yemeni people, secure its citizens and to work to thwart all aggression plots targeting the security and stability of the homeland.
