A military commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces has on Thursday survived an assassination attempt in Ma’rib province, according to private sources.
The sources affirmed that the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defence in the exiled Hadi government, Saghir bin Aziz, was subjected to an attempt to liquidate him.
Th Yemen Press Agency obtained information from private sources confirming that one of the sheikhs of the Islah Party in Ma’rib hosted Saghir bin Aziz in his home, and presented him with a refreshment that was poisoned.
The source explained that Bin Aziz was immediately transferred to a hospital in the city, but has survived the attempt on his life.
