The Central Military Court in the capital Sana’a ruled on Sunday to execute 75 military leaders, who were convicted of committing the crime of treason, by assisting and facilitating the enemy’s entry into the territory of the Republic of Yemen.
The convicts were dismissed from service in the Yemeni Armed Forces, their movable and immovable property in any hand inside or outside the country were confiscated, and they were sentenced to death.
The court’s verdict stipulated that the convicted persons are furthermore obliged to pay a total of 11,250,000 Yemeni riyals to the lawyers appointed to defend them as litigation fees, prior to their execution.
