Top member in Supreme Political Council, Mohammad Al-Houthi, condemned, Monday, classifying the designation of Ansarullah as a “terrorist organisation” by the Trump administration, reserving the right to respond to any classification emanating from the Trump administration or others.
Mohammad Al-Houthi wrote that “the US is the source of terrorism, the Trump administration’s policy is terrorist by its actions, policies that express a crisis of thinking.”
He added: “We reserve the right to respond to any classification that emanates from the Trump administration or any administration, and the Yemeni people do not care [about the opinion of the US] because the US is an actual partner in killing and starving them.”
He continued stating that: “Your terrorism is what has killed and starved Yemen’s children.”
Reuters news agency quoted Mike Pompeo as saying earlier on Monday, that the US State Department will notify Congress of the intention to classify Ansarullah as a “Foreign Terrorist Organisation”
