The official spokesman for the National Salvation Government of Yemen, Dhaifullah Al-Shami, said on Monday that the US is the “head and sponsor of international terrorism,” noting that Hillary Clinton’s statement about the US establishing and arming ISIS is known to the world.
Dhaifullah Al-Shami confirmed to Al-Masirah News, that the American decision to designate Ansarullah as a “foreign terrorist organisation” has resulted from an internal conflict coming with the end of the current administration and the departure of Trump.
“Trump has sought to ease the burden on Washington’s Saudi and Emirati allies,” the spokesman said, pointing out that the American decision to classify the Yemeni group as terrorists is the “culmination of its crimes against the Yemeni people over the years of aggression and siege.”
“The American classification will not affect our military or social path, but rather will increase us in strength and determination to confront the US.”
He continued by saying: “The American decision has no meaning on the ground, and with this decision, it blocks the road to stopping the Saudi-led aggression and siege, and seeks to prolong the war. We are ready for this confrontation.”
The spokesman pointed out that the United States has practiced military terrorism through acts of destruction, starvation and siege against Yemenis.
He concluded that the US “did not pass up any chance to eliminate the Yemeni people. It has adopted all options in the past nearly 6 years of Saudi-led aggression and blockade.”
