UAE-backed militias have uprooted hundreds of palm trees during the past few days in the coastal districts of Al-Durayhimi, Al-Tuhita, Beit Al-Faqih and Al-Khokha in Hodeidah province, local sources reported on Monday.

Activists on social media stated that the oases on the western coast in more than one area are prone to desertification and environmental damage due to the continued cutting of palm trees.
