The Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, as the government council of the National Salvation Government is called, has condemned the designation of Ansarullah as a “terrorist group” by the US Department of State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Council warned of the consequences of this step by the American administration, which is living its last moments, to prolong the aggression against the Republic of Yemen.
The statement praised the local and foreign reactions to the US decision, especially those issued by the United Nations and the European Union, which condemned the Trump administration’s designation.
The Council also warned of “the danger of proceeding with this trend, of which the repercussions will not only affect the humanitarian aspect in Yemen, but will also impede a political solution in Yemen.”
