Muslim travel ban and Ansarullah designation amongst Trump era decisions to be reverted, Biden govt says

The incoming US administration of President Joe Biden confirmed on Wednesday that it would issue decisions to reverse certain measures taken by his predecessor Donald Trump.

Among the decisions to be reversed are a ban on the travel of citizens of several Muslim countries to America, including citizens of Yemen and holders of Yemeni passports who were affected by the decision.

Regarding Trump’s decision to designate Ansarullah as a “terrorist organisation,” Antony Blinken, President Joe Biden’s nominee to be Secretary of State, said earlier that the administration would immediately study a proposal to review this designation.

Blinken is included in a list of officials in the Biden’s administration, headed by the head of intelligence and members of Congress who rejected Trump’s recent approach and decisions.
