Two prominent leaders loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council have survived assassination attempts in the latest bombings in Aden province during the past few hours, sources reported.
The sources said that unknown assailants targeted the advisor of the STC military chief, Mohsen Askar, by detonating an explosive device in the way of his convoy.
Earlier, a bomb attack on the head of the Security Belt militias, Jalal al-Rubaie, exploded in the city as his vehicle was passing by.
In the past few hours, Aden has witnessed three violent bombings that rocked Sheikh Othman, Mansoura and Enma.
