Israeli forces likely to be deployed within Saudi Arabia soon, sources say

High-ranking Saudi military sources said on Wednesday that Israeli soldiers will likely soon reside inside military bases in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi version of the Wikileaks website, a military commander in the Saudi kingdom’s army said that these soldiers would join the American military bases scattered throughout the kingdom in the near future.

The military commander stated that the Israeli soldiers would work to install the Iron Dome missile defence system to intercept air missiles in Saudi Arabia.

“The entry of Israeli forces comes within the framework of preparing for any possible confrontation with Iran in the region,” he added.

Earlier, the Commander of the US Central Command, General Frank McKenzie, revealed that his country’s army was using a group of air bases in the western desert of Saudi Arabia.

McKenzie said that “the US army is developing several options to use them in the event of a conflict with Iran,” in reference to bringing in Israeli forces.

The United States and Saudi Arabia are negotiating plans to invest in the infrastructure of both commercial and industrial ports in the coastal Yanbu, he added.
