The Specialised Criminal Court in the Yemeni capital Sana’a has on Monday begin the trial of a cell of spies working for the British intelligence service and other foreign entities on the territory of the Republic of Yemen.
The indictment stated that the defendants worked directly on recruiting, qualifying and training a number of spies in order to carry out espionage and sabotage activities in a number of Yemeni provinces.
The Security and Intelligence Services were able to detect a number of spies and bring them to justice to receive their punishment.
The security service confirmed that, at this moment, it continues to monitor the activities of the remaining spies, waiting for the appropriate moment to arrest them and bring them to justice.
The Security and Intelligence Service furthermore called upon all citizens of the Republic to be vigilant and report any suspicious acts.
