Yemeni army forces and Popular Committees have taken the control of the Kawfal strategic military base, located in the west of the city of Ma’rib.
Yemeni forces are continuing their advance in the west of the oil-rich province of Ma’rib and seized control of the Kawfal military camp from the Saudi-led coalition forces in the Sirwah region last night, Yemen Press Agency reported, citing local sources.
According to the sources, the Yemeni army forces managed to take control of the military base, one of the largest invasion coalition bases in Ma’rib, after four days of intense fighting with Saudi-led coalition mercenaries
The same sources confirmed that the Yemeni forces have made significant advances in the south and west of Ma’rib.
The Kawfal military base is one of the largest military bases of the Saudi-led coalition in Ma’rib province.
