New UAE reinforcements arrive in western Yemen

Military reinforcements of the UAE arrived on Thursday at Mocha Port, in the west of Taiz province.

Informed sources stated that a shipment of modern armoured vehicles landed at the port during the past hours, and was received by the commander in the so-called Al-Amaliqa Brigades, which are loyal to the UAE, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami al-Yafei, nicknamed ‘Abu Zar’aa”.

The move comes in light of the Islah Party forces expanding in the western districts of Taiz, overlooking the west coast of Yemen, and heading towards Tor Al-Baha district in order to control the areas near Bab al-Mandab strait in Lahj province.

The sources suggested that the UAE military reinforcements are to reinforce the Al-Amaliqa Brigades deployed in Abyan province.
