The Yemen branch of international Wahhabi terrorist organisation Daesh (ISIS) has issued an official statement confirming that its forces are fighting in Ma’rib on the side of the Saudi-led invaders, against the Armed Forces and Popular Committees of the National Salvation Government of Yemen.
The so-called “Islamic State Ma’rib Province”, said, in a brief statement broadcasted by ISIS platforms, that its fighters carry out attacks on Yemeni positions in the area of al-Kasra.
The ISIS statement said its fighters had taken control of two positions on the same front.
Tribal sources in Ma’rib had earlier confirmed the arrival of groups of al-Qaeda and ISIS militants to support the forces of the so-called Hadi government, against Yemeni army forces.
Forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees are launching attacks from multiple axes towards the city of Ma’rib, the center of the oil rich province.
