A senior military commander in the ranks of the Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Thursday, under mysterious circumstances in the Al-Kassara front, northwest of Ma’rib city.
According to local sources in Ma’rib province, Brigadier General Ahmed Qaid Al-Sharabi, commander of the so-called Al-Soqor Brigade of the coalition forces, was killed in Al-Kassara area, as a result of the explosion of an improvised explosive device planted in his car.
Media outlets affiliated with the coalition accuse Al-Qaeda and the Southern Yemeni separatist forces, which arrived two days ago to the city of Ma’rib, of being behind the assassination.
