Humanitarian organisation Oxfam International has warned against continuing to sell British weapons to the Saudi-led coalition in its war against Yemen.
Oxfam accused the British government of prolonging the Yemeni war by licensing the sale of aerial fuel supply equipment, which it feared that the Saudis would use in managing airstrikes on Yemen.
The UK licensed the sale of this technology to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2020, when restrictions on issuing licenses for the sale of military equipment were lifted, in addition to other military sales worth 1.4 billion pounds.
