Civil Aviation spokesman: Closure of Sana’a International Airport an Unforgivable Crime

Mazen Ghanem, spokesman for the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology (CAMA ) confirmed that the blockade imposed by the US-Saudi aggression on the country and the closure of Sana’a International Airport is an unforgivable crime.

In a statement to Yemen News Agency SABA, Ghanem pointed out that the US-Saudi blockade caused the death of thousands of patients, and hundreds of thousands of patients expected the same fate if they were unable to travel for treatment abroad.

“The closure of Sana’a International Airport prevented millions of Yemenis from traveling and returning to the homeland. It made Yemen a large prison,” he said.

Closing Sana’a International Airport violates all international laws, agreements and decisions, Ghanem said, reiterating demands to the Security Council to neutralize Sana’a airport and to issue an immediate international resolution binding on opening it.
