Angry protesters have on Sunday blocked most of the main roads and streets in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.
Dozens of protesters affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia, cut off streets and roads, in protest against the non-payment of salaries, high food prices, and the collapse of electricity services due to the lack of oil derivatives, local sources reported.
The sources added that retired soldiers joined the uprising of the STC militants, noting that the protesters set fire to tires, demanding the “government of Moeen Abdul-Malik Saeed pays the due salaries and provides basic services to Yemeni citizens.
The protests came after the Hadi puppet government announced that the salaries would be paid ten days ago, but so far has failed to do so
